Sakura

While walking down my street the other day I spotted a big cherry blossom tree branch that had been cut down and was being thrown out. So I broke off some branches and took them home with me. I shot some photos in my kitchen and I think they turned out really pretty. I love cherry blossom season in Japan and am missing it like crazy right now!

Budge Family

I took some photos last week of my friends the Budges. Becky just had a baby 5 days earlier and she wanted some photos of her new baby as well as their family. Their kids are adorable and I’m glad they came back to Utah for a bit to have their precious baby Claire.

Miriem

My sister Miriem has been asking me to take pictures of her for a while. So, at christmas, I told her I would do a photo shoot with her and we would do or go wherever she wanted and take beautiful pictures of her. So this last week she had spring break and we decided to have a photo shoot up in salt lake on Wednesday. I wanted to wait for warmer light in the afternoon/evening, so we spent the morning scouting out locations and playing with Rylee. When it came time to actually start shooting, it started raining, just our luck. So the following day we decided to drive out to the salt flats by Wendover and take some photos out there. It was a fun day. Mini-road trip with my sister, she called in a request at a radio station and heard herself on the radio for the first time(it was a big deal), stopped to take photos along the way, hung out with some crackheads in Wendover and drove home. Here are some of the photos from that day!

Amy’s ‘Day of the Dead’ Wedding

My old roommate Amy had a ‘Day of the Dead’ themed wedding! Her colors of vibrant reds and deep purples were absolutely beautiful. There were little sugar skulls, most of which Amy made or painted, scattered all over amongst the decorations. The wedding took place in their backyard and it was the perfect place for an intimate outdoor ceremony and reception. Amy did most of the flower arrangements herself, including the to-die-for floral crosses. This wedding was absolutely amazing in all the details and the day couldn’t have been nicer!

Kristen’s Bridals

Kristen and I have been best friends since we were 3 years old. So I was obviously excited to shoot her bridals, especially because she has been living far away from me for a long time now and I don’t get to see her too often. We took entirely too many pictures that day, but it gave us some really good photos, and we got to hang out for a long time, so it was worth it. There is a long story behind her dress, but basically, she had it made in India and it started out about 5 sizes too big. Luckily, it worked out and turned out beautiful. I miss you Kris.

Rylee

Jil asked me to take some photos of Rylee for her mom’s birthday present. Seeing as Rylee is my favorite little girl in the world, I happily obliged. She is the cutest kid and I wish I could put a track of her talking on here too cause then you would really understand the cuteness of her tiny voice.

Kristen & Will

Did some engagements out at the salt flats for my best friend Kristen and her, now, husband Will. We of course had a fantastic time and got some good shots, even though Will could hardly keep his eyes open it was so bright! Here are a few.

30 Seconds To Mars

I have seen 30 Seconds To Mars twice now and they sure know how to put on a good show! These are some photos from the first show I saw at the Rail Event Center in Salt Lake City. It was an awesome show just before their newest album came out. I saw them again later in their tour after the This Is War album had been out a while and it was incredible. I’ll definitely be at their show next time they’re in town! (click on the photos to see them larger)

Bridals for Alexis

I took some bridals of my sister-in-law last summer just before Adam and her wedding. She was a beautiful bride and I think we ended up with some awesome shots. She is one classy lady.
I played around with some of the colors on these more than I usually do, but I enjoy the result. Let me know what you think!

And this one I just couldn’t resist…the lighting and the veil, it was all so saint-like!
